Brussels approves Italy’s €23 billion renewable energy scheme
16 Giugno 2026 - European Commission approved on 8 June 2026 an Italian State aid scheme worth €23 billion to support electricity generation from renewable sources through 20-year two-way contracts for difference. The aim is to deliver around 37 gigawatts of new installed capacity, covering onshore wind, photovoltaic, hydroelectric and waste gas plants.

Msc integrates Ukraine network with Pivdennyi terminal
12 Giugno 2026 - Mediterranean Shipping Company is entering Ukraine’s main private container terminal, taking a 51% stake in Tis Container Terminal at the port of Pivdennyi, near Odessa. The move is part of a wider strategy that already includes the N'Unit intermodal network, the Mostyska border rail terminal and indirect exposure to Container Terminal Odessa through Hhla.

12 Giugno 2026 - Fhp Group has inaugurated 17,000 square metres of storage space in two disused areas of the port of Livorno for cargo handled by Fhp MarterNeri. The redevelopment required an investment of €23 million.

Italy highly exposed to cybercrime in transport and logistics
10 Giugno 2026 - Cybercrime and freight fraud are merging into a single systemic threat affecting the entire European supply chain. According to data from the Agenzia per la Cybersicurezza Nazionale (National Cybersecurity Agency) and ENISA’s Threat Landscape 2025 report, Italy is among the most exposed countries, with more than 500 transport operators classified as critical infrastructure.

Italian cold chain logistics faces energy costs and inadequate rules
19 Maggio 2026 - Assologistica (Italian Association of Logistics Companies) brought together cold chain logistics operators at Transpotec Logitec to highlight the sector’s main challenges: energy accounting for up to 40% of operating costs, a shortage of skilled workers and a still fragmented regulatory framework. The association is calling for the sector to be recognised as national strategic infrastructure.

15 Maggio 2026 - Lufthansa Cargo has created a wholly owned subsidiary dedicated to cross-border logistics, formed through the merger of Heyworld and CB Customs Broker. Called GlobeCross, it combines customs services, digital e-commerce solutions and deliveries from origin to final destination.

Il tribunale locale di Mühlhausen, in Germania, ha inflitto oltre 17mila euro di sanzione a un autotrasportatore della Turingia per più di 200 violazioni su orari di lavoro, tempi di guida e riposo. Le verifiche svcolte in azienda non sono state sufficienti a evitare la multa.

Lufthansa Cargo estende la rete in Asia
Con l'orario invernale in vigore dal 25 ottobre 2026 Lufthansa Cargo opera 88 rotte con aerei cargo verso 40 destinazioni, aggiunge Singapore e ripristina Almaty. A Mumbai i voli tutto merci passano al nuovo aeroporto di Navi Mumbai, mentre crescono le frequenze verso Dallas, Houston e New York.

L’apertura della galleria del Brennero rinviata di due anni
Bbt sposta dal 2032 al 2034 la messa in esercizio della Galleria di base del Brennero e porta a 11,73 miliardi di euro il costo a vita intera. La riprogettazione dell'attrezzaggio ferroviario trasferisce gran parte degli impianti nel cunicolo esplorativo, trasformato in galleria di servizio.
