Privacy authority inspections at two Italian Amazon logistics hubs
10 Febbraio 2026 - The Italian data protection authority has launched checks at Amazon’s logistics centres in Passo Corese and Castel San Giovanni, focusing on video surveillance systems and the processing of workers’ data. The activity also involves the Ispettorato Nazionale del Lavoro (National Labour Inspectorate) and the Guardia di Finanza.

€7.8bn public takeover bid for InPost
10 Febbraio 2026 - A consortium led by Advent International, FedEx, A&R Investments and Ppf Group has agreed to launch an all-cash public takeover bid for all InPost shares at €15.60 per share, valuing the company at around €7.8bn.

Interglobo to gain a new logistics facility on the outskirts of Milan
6 Febbraio 2026 - Prologis has launched the construction of a logistics platform in the Milan metropolitan area, on a brownfield site in Melzo. Developed for Interglobo, the project combines urban regeneration, a bespoke design and operational efficiency, with delivery scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026.

Amazon’s latest round of job cuts does not affect logistics

The restructuring aims to cut bureaucracy and management layers while investment in artificial intelligence, cloud computing and data centres increases. Un'autocisterna carica di carburante si è ribaltata e ha preso fuoco nei pressi del casello A14 di Riccione nel primo pomeriggio del 18 giugno 2026, causando due feriti ma nessuna vittima accertata.
