Urban art arrives at Prologis Park La Rustica
Prologis Park La Rustica in Rome has been enriched with new urban artworks created by international artists Ale Senso, Rame13 and Macs. The initiative is part of Prologis’s Parklife project, which aims to transform logistics parks into more liveable and inspiring spaces. With this latest intervention, the number of artworks commissioned in Italy since 2021 rises to 40, involving a total of 23 artists. Following similar projects in Lodi, Romentino, Milan and Bologna, Rome now also welcomes a form of artistic expression that brings together culture and wellbeing in the workplace.
Lufthansa Cargo opens new cargo station in Katowice
Lufthansa Cargo has opened a new cargo station in Katowice, Poland, expanding its European network. The inaugural flight departed on 3 April 2025 from the Frankfurt hub, operated by the airline’s medium-haul A321F fleet. Connections LH8318 and LH8319 will run twice a week, on Thursdays and Saturdays. Katowice thus becomes the airline’s eighth cargo station in Poland. Since 2021, Lufthansa Cargo has also operated an RFS facility at the airport, ensuring integrated transport services across Central and Eastern Europe.

time:matters, a specialist in high-performance logistics, has opened a new branch in France, strengthening its presence across Europe. The office, located near Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, offers logistics solutions for sectors such as life sciences, semiconductors, automotive and aerospace. The opening is part of the company’s global expansion strategy and aims to provide tailored transport and supply chain services through dedicated local teams.
LeShuttle Freight sees growth in March, passenger vehicles decline
In March 2025, LeShuttle Freight – the Channel Tunnel rail shuttle – transported 105,413 commercial vehicles, marking a 2% increase compared to March 2024. Since the beginning of the year, 302,144 heavy goods vehicles have crossed under the Channel. In contrast, passenger vehicle traffic declined: 122,419 were transported in March, a 16% drop year-on-year, attributed to the shift of British Easter and school holidays to April. Since January, over 370,000 passenger vehicles have passed through the tunnel.
Union demands guarantees over FFS Cargo job cuts
Swiss rail freight operator FFS Cargo has announced a restructuring plan in response to financial difficulties and declining demand. By the end of 2025, 80 full-time positions will be eliminated, with an overall 20% workforce reduction planned by 2030. The Transfair union has demanded guarantees to protect workers and to maintain the company’s commitment to modal shift policies.
Globe Air Cargo Cambodia appointed GSSA for Air Premia in Cambodia and Myanmar
ECS Group has announced the appointment of its subsidiary, Globe Air Cargo Cambodia, as GSSA for Air Premia in Cambodia and Myanmar. The partnership involves cargo transport via Bangkok to global destinations including Seoul, Tokyo Narita and major US hubs such as Los Angeles, San Francisco and Newark, using the Korean airline’s Boeing 787s. Key exports include garments and electronic components from Cambodia, and textiles and agricultural products from Myanmar. The project also includes the transport of perishable goods. The agreement will be supported by ECS Group’s CargoTech digital suite to enhance efficiency and operational visibility.
