On 4 February 2025, Fercam announced the acquisition of a majority shareholding in Shado Forwarding, a Veneto-based firm headquartered in Mirano (Venice), specialising in international shipping and port logistics. This move represents a further step in consolidating Fercam's footprint in the maritime and air freight sector, while also reaffirming the strategic importance of the Veneto region to the Italian economy and logistics industry.
Founded in 2004, Shado Forwarding quickly established itself as a key player in international freight, with particular expertise in paper and cardboard logistics. The acquisition allows Fercam not only to strengthen its position in this critical link of the logistics chain but also to broaden its range of services, enabling a more effective and flexible response to the needs of both local and international businesses.
“The combination of Shado’s expertise with Fercam’s network and experience enables us to accelerate the development of innovative, tailor-made solutions for our clients,” stated Filippo Bortignon, CEO of Shado, who will continue to lead the company, ensuring operational continuity and the enhancement of its corporate expertise. On his part, Jury Michelozzi, Division Director Air & Ocean at Fercam, emphasised that “this operation significantly strengthens Fercam’s competitive positioning and marks an important evolution in our international logistics and shipping activities. The integration of expertise is key to creating added value and effectively addressing the challenges of an ever-evolving market.”
