On July 29, 2024, Ignazio Messina announced the launch of the "Jolly Bianco," a new container ship marking an expansion of its fleet. This addition highlights a particularly positive period for the company, which is currently in a phase of growth and implementation of its recently initiated industrial plan. The "Jolly Bianco" was delivered at the Singapore harbor, alongside its sister ship "Jolly Verde," the largest in the Messina fleet, which entered service in April 2024. Measuring 283 meters in length and 40 meters in width, the ship has a crew of 23 members, including 17 Italians, led by Captain Salvatore Cammareri from La Spezia. Built in 2007, the "Jolly Bianco" has a carrying capacity of 6,300 TEU. After repositioning in the Mediterranean, the vessel will operate on the route serving the Red Sea, Arabian Gulf, India, and Pakistan.
