The Gugel Group has acquired the entire share capital of Reinke International, a German company specialising in furniture transport and based in Gärtringen, Baden-Württemberg. The deal was announced by Gugel on 14 April 2026 and involves a business with around 110 employees and a fleet of about 50 commercial vehicles. For Gugel, a privately owned, unlisted operator based in Pieve di Soligo, in the province of Treviso (Italy), the acquisition strengthens its direct presence in Germany in a segment that is already central to the group: furniture logistics, with services for the transport of furniture and home accessories in Europe and international markets.
Reinke International was founded in 1964. The company later expanded its operations into Switzerland and Austria in the late 1960s, gradually building a presence in international furniture transport. Acquiring a company with an operational base and fleet in Germany could allow Gugel to better integrate flows between Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Austria, areas already part of Reinke’s operating history. In 2022, Gugel completed another strategic acquisition, CD Transport, which helped create a "logistics hub for furniture transport", with the expansion of its fleet to around 150 trucks and a 20,000-square-metre warehouse for load consolidation and groupage.
