Trimble Insight Europe, the annual gathering of Europe’s logistics community organised by Transporeon, a Trimble company, will be held on 22 and 23 September 2026 at The Egg in Brussels. The event, known until its previous edition as the Transporeon Summit, brings together more than 900 professionals each year, including shippers, retailers, carriers and consignors, with the aim of helping supply chain decision-makers address the complexity and volatility of global logistics scenarios. This edition shifts the focus of the programme from the theoretical potential of artificial intelligence to its practical application in day-to-day operations. Sessions will concentrate on three factors seen as critical for large-scale implementation: data quality and availability, change management within organisations and measurable return on investment.
The two-day programme will feature several parallel tracks. The first will consist of real-life case studies presented directly by customers, with practical sessions dedicated to the experiences of Barilla, Knauf, Amazon Freight, ArcelorMittal and Microsoft, focusing on the operational changes introduced and the results achieved. These will be complemented by sector-specific tracks for particular industries, with in-depth sessions on the chemical and retail/FMCG sectors, both of which are characterised by specific regulatory complexity and particularly fast-paced operations.
Key themes in the programme include the adoption of artificial intelligence by small and medium-sized enterprises without the budgets of multinationals, and the foundations needed to achieve tangible results from artificial intelligence at scale, overcoming data fragmentation and building greater digital resilience. Other tracks will address regulatory resilience in the face of global disruption and new compliance requirements, a direct analysis of inefficiencies linked to waiting times at docks and document management from drivers’ point of view, and an open discussion between shippers and carriers on the main areas of friction in transport procurement and operational execution.
There will also be space for The Next, Trimble’s annual presentation of its technological innovations, which will provide an overview of the latest developments in four areas: transport planning and execution, logistics procurement, yard and loading dock management, and transport cost control. The programme will also include dedicated masterclasses and round tables designed to encourage direct peer-to-peer discussion on common industry challenges. New features in this year’s edition include sessions dedicated to targeted meetings between supply and demand for all supply chain operators, and a new initiative called Women in Logistics, designed to encourage dialogue and professional networking among women working in the sector.
“Logistics is first and foremost a sector made up of people,” explains Philipp Pfister, sector vice-president at Transporeon. “The value of Trimble Insight Europe lies in its ability to encourage direct dialogue between shippers, carriers and partners, an exchange that is often missing from day-to-day activities,” he adds, stressing that the aim of the event is to provide participants with new strategic connections and insights that can be applied immediately in the management of operations.
