Msc Air Cargo has announced the expansion of its fleet with the addition of two new Boeing 777F aircraft, expected to enter service in the first half of 2026. The news was confirmed by CEO Jannie Davel during the Cargo Facts Symposium 2025, held in Nashville from 22 to 24 October. The move marks a further stage in the consolidation strategy of Msc’s air cargo division, which launched its air transport operations in December 2022.
Since January 2025, the company has been gradually expanding its network with new routes from Maastricht Aachen Airport in the Netherlands to Asia. The connections to Hong Kong and Xiamen, operated by Atlas Air Boeing 777s, focus on e-commerce and general cargo. The Maastricht routes complement those from Almaty, Kazakhstan, strengthening connectivity between Europe and Asia.
Over the course of the year, the European network has been further expanded with regular flights from Amsterdam, Budapest, Liège and Milan Malpensa. Key destinations include Seoul Incheon, Tokyo Narita (via Malpensa), Ezhou, Karaganda, Hong Kong, and several cities in North America such as Mexico City, Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago and Quito. Dedicated services have also been introduced from Asia to Europe and the Americas, with frequencies ranging from once to several times a week, depending on traffic flows.
Operationally, in the first quarter of 2025 Msc Air Cargo began operating a fifth Boeing 777F directly through its subsidiary AlisCargo, which has become the company’s second European hub at Milan Malpensa Airport. The acquisition of AlisCargo Airlines and its integration into Msc’s operational network have enhanced the company’s management autonomy and capacity. At the same time, to support the growth of Asian and American routes, Msc Air Cargo has leased Boeing 747-400F aircraft operated by Atlas Air.
Msc Air Cargo currently operates a fleet of five Boeing 777-200F aircraft: four under Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, Insurance (ACMI) agreements with Atlas Air, and one owned directly by Msc Air, registered as I-Msca and named Alfirk. With the arrival of two additional 777Fs in 2026, the fleet will reach seven operational aircraft. The company currently serves 21 destinations across three continents and completed 2,518 flights in 2024. In parallel, it has developed a Road Feeder Service network comprising more than 94 trucking connections, including 74 in Europe, 14 in the Americas and six in the Asia-Pacific region.
