Girteka CEO Edvardas Liachovičius announced that the Lithuanian transport and logistics company signed a new order for 900 Mercedes-Benz Actros L ProCabin trucks during IAA 2026, with deliveries scheduled for the first half of 2027. However, he did not disclose the value of the order, the specification of the tractor units or the delivery schedule. The batch comes on top of the 500 units of the same model ordered by Daimler Truck and Girteka on 3 March 2026, with deliveries being phased throughout the year. Together, the two orders bring the number of Actros L ProCabin tractor units scheduled for delivery between 2026 and the first half of 2027 to 1,400.
Girteka's fleet currently comprises around 6,500 trucks, meaning the 1,400 Actros L ProCabin units are equivalent to just over a fifth of the existing fleet. However, the company has not said how many of the new tractor units will replace existing vehicles and how many will increase capacity. The Actros L ProCabin is a diesel truck featuring a cab with a front section extended by 80 mm, along with redesigned joints and body panels to reduce aerodynamic drag on motorway journeys. Mercedes-Benz Trucks says the model delivers efficiency gains of up to 3% compared with the previous generation. To finance these orders, Girteka signed a €74 million agreement with Aka Bank on 26 February 2026, backed by Credendo, the Belgian export credit agency.
