Gnv Aurora strengthens LNG fleet
30 Gennaio 2026 - Grandi Navi Veloci has taken delivery in China of the second liquefied natural gas-powered vessel in its fleet, which will enter service from April on the Genoa–Palermo route. With the first phase of the renewal programme completed, the company has confirmed an order for a further four LNG units due from 2027.

Strike on French ferries operated by Corsica Linea and La Méridionale
29 Gennaio 2026 - From 2 February 2026 the French union CGT has called a renewable 48-hour strike on ferries operated by Corsica Linea and La Méridionale. The protest targets inaction on the “common programme” and competition from GNV and Corsica Ferries out of Sète. The unions are demanding rules and safeguards on flag, cabotage and DSP.
