Under the name One Road, cargo-partner and Nippon Express are presenting at the transport logistic fair in Munich a joint logistics project aimed at improving road transport across Europe. The concept is based on combining the regional strengths of the two companies: cargo-partner’s strong presence in Central and Eastern Europe is paired with Nippon Express’s established network in Western Europe. The result is a seamless and extensive transport network, designed to meet all operational needs, from groupage to partial and full loads.
Italy is among the first countries to benefit from this integration, with operations already consolidated. Belgium, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom are next in line as the network expands. The regional logistics hubs of cargo-partner – located in Vienna, Żory, Ljubljana, Zagreb and Sofia – play a key role in ensuring the speed, reliability and flexibility of the service. In addition to the physical interconnection of networks, cargo-partner brings a strong environmental message to the event. Now part of Nippon Express Holdings since 2024, the company is presenting a range of solutions aimed at reducing emissions across all major transport modes: air, sea, road and rail.
Among the proposed solutions are alternative fuels such as SAF (sustainable aviation fuel), SMF (sustainable marine fuel), HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil), electric vehicles, rail freight and intermodal options. All of this is part of a structured approach called “Measure–Optimise–Reduce”, based on data compliant with GLEC and ISO standards, which allows customers to obtain verified and traceable emission reduction certificates.
