    Amazon's drones grounded in Texas

Amazon has suspended its drone delivery service in College Station, Texas, though not due to residents' protests. The university town, with approximately 125,000 inhabitants, was the only place to organise opposition to the project, citing noise and the intrusiveness of the devices. The FAA received 150 complaints but deemed them irrelevant. Nonetheless, Amazon has decided to update the drones' software and introduce quieter models.

Circle launches new version of Milos Tos Mobile for the port of Genoa

Circle has announced the implementation of the new version of Milos Tos Mobile at the Terminal San Giorgio in the port of Genoa. This app enhances the management of vehicle loading, storage and handling operations by digitising previously paper-based processes. Innovations include integration with onboard units to detect the GPS position of vehicles, facilitating the swift retrieval of semi-trailers. Co-financed by the Federated project, the initiative aims to improve terminal efficiency and reduce operational congestion.

    Bio LPG for asphalt production

Amplia Infrastructure, a company within the Autostrade per l'Italia group, is initiating Italy's first construction sector trial using bio LPG instead of petroleum-derived BTZ oil in asphalt production. The project, in collaboration with Liquigas, involves the use of ISCC Plus certified bio LPG at the Marcianise plant. This gas, derived from refining HVO bio diesel, offers the same performance as traditional LPG while reducing CO2 emissions by up to 80%. In 2024, Amplia produced 317,000 tonnes of bituminous conglomerates, 55% of which used warm-mix techniques, thereby reducing environmental impact.
