On 19 February 2025, Dkv Mobility announced the extension of its electronic toll payment device, the Dkv Box Europe, to the Slovenian road network. With this integration, the device now supports eighteen toll services across fifteen European countries, simplifying logistical management for transport companies. Slovenia serves as a strategic transit hub for industrial vehicles travelling to or from Italy, acting as a bridge between Western Europe and the Balkans. Until now, toll payments in the country required dedicated systems, adding administrative complexity for industry operators. By incorporating Slovenia into the Dkv Box Europe network, hauliers can now use a single onboard unit to travel across multiple countries, reducing bureaucratic procedures and optimising cost management.
The Dkv Box Europe is designed for vehicles with a gross weight exceeding 3.5 tonnes and stands out for its ease of use and installation. The plug-and-play system enables quick activation and transfer between vehicles, providing significant operational flexibility for corporate fleets. One of the key benefits of the service is the automatic application of toll discounts, helping to lower operational costs. Additionally, the device offers access to round-the-clock customer support, enhancing security and peace of mind for hauliers during their journeys.
With this new integration, the Dkv Box Europe can now manage toll payments in fifteen countries: Germany, Belgium, France, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Bulgaria, Italy, Hungary, Poland, Switzerland, Slovenia, and Slovakia, as well as for tunnels and bridges such as Warnow (Germany), Herren (Germany), Liefkenshoektunnel (Belgium), the Øresund Bridge and the Storebælt Bridge. The device replaces up to nine onboard units per vehicle, reducing environmental impact and improving fleet management efficiency. An additional advantage is its integration with Dkv Live, which enables real-time vehicle tracking and digital fuel consumption management.
