Webfleet, Bridgestone’s fleet management platform, will present the new Fleet Insights and Asset Management 360 solutions at IAA 2026, aligning with the theme chosen for the 2026 edition, which focuses on the shift from data visibility to operational decisions. Jan-Maarten de Vries, president of Fleet Management Solutions at Bridgestone, said that "transport operators have more data than ever before, but data alone does not improve performance". The role of the fleet manager is moving from controlling operations to guiding operational intelligence, de Vries added, "combining connected vehicle and asset data with advanced analytics and artificial intelligence" to support faster decision-making.
Fleet Insights is the new analytics function integrated into Webfleet. It translates fleet data into performance indicators grouped on a single screen: key indicators, like-for-like comparative benchmarks and trends over time. The tool draws on more than 200 anonymised fleet profiles, matched by size, fleet composition, sector, geographical area and type of mileage, in order to provide a benchmark against similar companies. The function is based on Fleet Advisor, the AI-powered data query system introduced by Webfleet in 2025, which allows users to ask questions about fleet data and receive immediate answers. From the Fleet Insights screen, users can move directly to Fleet Advisor to examine the performance of individual vehicles, drivers and activities in greater depth. Fleet Insights is already available in all markets served by Webfleet, while updates due by the end of October will introduce AI-based recommendations in Fleet Advisor to identify the causes of critical issues and set intervention priorities.
Asset Management 360 will bring vehicles, trailers, equipment and other motorised and non-motorised assets together on a single platform, consolidating data on location and use. The solution will be previewed at IAA 2026 ahead of its launch, scheduled for the coming months. It will include Link 330, a compact battery-powered tracking device designed for non-motorised assets such as containers, construction equipment and small trailers.
Alongside the two new solutions, Webfleet will showcase technologies for predictive maintenance, driver management and training, regulatory compliance, video telematics, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions reporting, and integrations with transport management systems. On 16 September at 12.00, on the main stage in Hall 18, de Vries will speak about the evolution of the fleet manager’s role towards guiding operational intelligence. The following day, at the same time, at the Transport Forum on the Industry Stage in Hall 13, Wolfgang Schmid, Head of Central Region at Webfleet, will take part in a panel discussion on the role of artificial intelligence in the transport sector.
