On 14 October 2025, Geotab announced a complete upgrade of its refrigerated transport solution, introducing new hardware devices and advanced software features designed to improve the monitoring of temperature-sensitive shipments. The new hardware includes the Iox-Cold device, for in-cabin installation, and the Iox-Cold Rugged, featuring IP67 protection for external use. Both enable more direct integration with the refrigeration units of major manufacturers, reducing the need for additional sensors and improving data accuracy. The goal is to simplify installation and reduce potential vulnerabilities along the transport chain.
At the same time, the MyGeotab platform has been enhanced with new real-time control functions. These include continuous tracking of cargo conditions, multi-zone temperature management, the ability to send remote commands to correct anomalies, and access to dynamic historical data for shipment analysis. The MyInstall tool has also been updated to facilitate system configuration and verification.
The upgraded solution is targeted at the food and beverage, pharmaceutical and temperature-sensitive logistics sectors. It is currently available in beta, with general release scheduled for the EMEA region in the third quarter of 2025.
