Valeo will present new solutions for heavy and light commercial vehicles at IAA Transportation, with a focus on electrification, advanced driver assistance systems and software-defined vehicles. The offering is designed to provide road haulage fleets with components and software to reduce the total cost of ownership. In heavy transport, Valeo is developing driver assistance systems up to Level 4 autonomy, with sensors, technologies for keeping them clean and dedicated computing units. The solutions include Valeo Smart Safety 360, alongside domain controllers and modular central computing units. For electrification, the group will present the Edc-120 electric compressor with integrated inverter, designed for electric buses and trucks, together with heat pumps, high-voltage coolant heaters, inverters, onboard chargers and electric propulsion systems.
For safety, Valeo is introducing Adaptive Driving Beam technology in commercial vehicles, automatically adjusting the high-beam light pattern when traffic is approaching from the opposite direction. In the cab, the driver monitoring system detects drowsiness and distraction, and the group says it complies with Gsr II and Ncap 2026 standards. The strategy also covers the last mile with Cyclee by Valeo, designed to connect long-haul transport with zero-emission urban logistics. The Go7 Gen4 unit integrates a 48 V motor and a seven-speed automatic gearbox, delivers 130 Nm of torque and up to 1,000 W of peak power, enabling payloads of up to 250 kg to be moved. For the spare parts market, Valeo is also expanding remanufacturing to more than 6,000 references, including starter motors and alternators, brake callipers, air-conditioning compressors and transmission components. The Reman 2.0 programme extends the activity to electronic and electrification components, while the stated target is to reuse more than 80% of materials on average.
