Sogedim has strengthened its connections with the United Kingdom by launching a new daily groupage transport and forwarding service from Italy, operational since 9 February 2026. Departures are organised from the hubs of Campogalliano, Carpi and Prato, with the aim of expanding the Group’s capacity on flows between the two countries and ensuring operational continuity to one of the most important markets for Italian exports.
The service is based on a daily shuttle departing from the logistics centres of Campogalliano, Carpi and Prato, enabling the consolidation of goods collected in Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, Central and Southern Italy. The structure is designed to ensure smooth shipment management and greater regularity of traffic to the United Kingdom, with a frequency that allows companies to plan outbound flows more reliably.
The strengthened link with the United Kingdom forms part of the integration process between Sogedim and Transtir. According to the company, this synergy has already delivered benefits in terms of efficiency and punctuality in domestic traffic between Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna, and now extends its impact to the British market. Coordination between operational structures and local expertise enables structured management of Italy–United Kingdom flows, even in complex logistics environments.
The service has been developed in collaboration with Simarco and complements additional solutions that enable Sogedim to offer fast, secure and sustainable transport. The daily frequency is intended to guarantee continuity and reliability to a destination that remains central for many Italian manufacturing supply chains, despite the new regulatory framework following the United Kingdom’s exit from the European Union.
In a post-Brexit environment that the operator describes as now stabilised, customers shipping to Great Britain can rely on an offering that combines more granular transport management with specific expertise in import and export procedures. Customs activities are handled by qualified professionals with many years of experience in identifying the most efficient routes. Optimised transit times and structured coordination of flows, including ADR and temperature-controlled transport, are distinctive features of the service.
With offices in Milan, Turin, Campogalliano–Carpi and Prato, Sogedim occupies a central position within Italian and international transport networks. In this model, where time is a competitive factor, the Campogalliano–Carpi and Prato hubs play a strategic role, thanks to full integration with suppliers and the Group’s international networks.
Emanuele Codazzi, Ceo of Sogedim, underlines that “the integration of Transtir into Sogedim’s excellence services, such as the daily link with the United Kingdom – a market in which we have operated for over 35 years – is a natural step. Extending the same quality of service and the same operational approach to the Transtir branches strengthens our ability to offer structured road consolidation towards one of the most in-demand destinations in Europe. Our objective is to create tangible value for customers, making their supply chains increasingly efficient and competitive.”
On the same note, Valentin Dima, Chief Operating Officer of Sogedim, highlights that “this daily service strengthens our presence in Italy–UK flows and represents a further step in our international development strategy. We consistently invest to actively support business growth in foreign markets with the best transport solutions, giving priority to those that have historically been most relevant to us, such as the United Kingdom.”
