The Italian Gavio Group is strengthening and modernising its industrial vehicle fleet through an agreement signed with Scania for the supply of one hundred Super road tractors, accompanied by a structured package of fleet management and assistance services. The operation forms part of the vehicle renewal programme aimed at improving operational efficiency, service continuity and fuel consumption control, with particular attention to environmental responsibility targets. The supply is supported by a Full service contract covering the entire vehicle life cycle, including repairs linked to breakdowns and unforeseen events.
The Gavio Group has also activated the Max24 service, which guarantees vehicle restoration within 24 hours; if this target is not met, Scania provides financial compensation. The scheme is designed to reduce downtime and ensure regularity in transport operations. The package also includes the Fleet Care service, which allows the centralised planning of maintenance activities and the management of unplanned events through a dedicated point of contact. The aim is to optimise resource use and enable earlier, preventive maintenance interventions.
The Gavio Group operates a fleet of around 1,800 road tractors and 3,000 semi-trailers and employs more than 2,600 people. Its activities are mainly focused on the domestic market, with operational presence also in Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Germany and Belgium. The relationship with Scania is long-standing, dating back to the early 141 models and continuing through to the current Super range, selected for fuel efficiency and reliability on long-haul operations.
