The JAC N75 and N42EV models form the core of the range that Chinese manufacturer Jac Motors, together with Tekauto, presented at Solutrans 2025 in Lyon, bringing to the European market two electric industrial vehicles designed for urban distribution. The JAC N75 is a 7.5-tonne truck offering a real-world range between 150 and 220 kilometres, an ergonomic cab and energy management systems aimed at optimising performance on city routes. Its electric motor and intelligent battery management make it suitable for last-mile delivery operations.
The more compact N42EV, first unveiled at IAA Transportation 2024 in Hannover, is equipped with a 77 kWh Catl LFP battery, offers a range of more than 220 kilometres and supports fast charging capable of recovering over 100 kilometres in half an hour. The payload reaches 1.5 tonnes and the safety features comply with GSR II requirements thanks to level 2 ADAS systems and a reinforced cab, which helps the model stand out in the light vehicle segment designed for urban centres.
The presence of the two vehicles at Solutrans 2025 confirmed Jac Motors’ strategy to consolidate its role in European electric transport. The manufacturer from Hefei, active since 1964, has developed over the years a lineup ranging from passenger cars to heavy-duty vehicles and has increased investment in research on electric, hybrid and connected solutions. These efforts have also been strengthened by industrial agreements such as the joint venture with the Volkswagen Group and its collaboration with Toyota for the development of new zero-emission models.
A structured entry into the European market is made possible by Tekauto, the company founded by Sergio Habib following his experience in Brazil. In the South American market, the Shc Group has already delivered more than 1,600 Jac electric trucks, a result that has supported the spread of zero-emission mobility in the distribution sector. The replication of this operating model in Europe started in Spain and Portugal and continued in France, with an organisation designed to cover the entire value chain of the electric vehicle.
Tekauto manages sales, maintenance, telemetry, fleet management and complete solutions for charging infrastructure. The activity also includes cooperation with the G-truck service network and targets companies looking to launch or expand fleet renewal with low-emission vehicles, offering customised services and ongoing technical support.
