At the beginning of October 2025, the Tarros Group announced the appointment of Danilo Ricci as Managing Director of Tarros Line. The decision acknowledges a career developed within the La Spezia-based company and Ricci’s in-depth expertise in maritime transport and integrated logistics. Ricci began his professional journey with the Tarros Group, taking on roles of increasing responsibility up to the position of General Manager. Over the years, he has overseen the development of the operational and commercial network, contributing to the company’s expansion across the Mediterranean, where its fleet now connects 16 countries and 31 ports, serving a potential market of over 450 million people.
His work has been distinguished by a focus on innovation and operational efficiency. Among the projects Ricci has led are the introduction of QR codes for managing truck traffic within port terminals and participation in the Fenix project, the first European model of a federated architecture for sharing logistics data. In 2021, Ricci illustrated the benefits of these tools on the Italy–Morocco route, highlighting the importance of reduced transit time as a competitive factor for liner services. Alongside technological progress, Ricci has consistently focused on sustainability and human resource management.
Ricci welcomed his appointment as Managing Director of Tarros Line as a position of responsibility and continuity, with a commitment to strengthening international synergies and seizing new growth opportunities. The Group’s President and CEO, Alberto Musso, emphasised that Ricci’s experience within the company makes him the ideal figure to lead Tarros Line towards further development in both the Mediterranean and international markets. The Tarros Group currently employs 650 people, with women accounting for more than half of its workforce.
