Transtir, part of Gruppo Sogedim, announced on 4 November 2026 the opening of a logistics facility in Reggiolo, in the province of Reggio Emilia. The 24,000-square-metre facility will be operational by the end of November 2026, complementing the company’s existing site in Carpi. The two facilities combine storage, logistics services, transport and cross-docking for local businesses. Proximity to the Reggiolo-Rolo motorway junction, around 500 metres away, facilitates domestic and international road connections. The new facility provides third-party logistics and integrated supply chain management, from goods receipt and traceable storage to order fulfilment for distribution and e-commerce, as well as kitting, labelling, repacking, returns management and other value-added services.
The facility can handle a wide range of goods: raw materials and industrial components, machinery, tools, paper and packaging, publications, clothing, household products, animal feed and packaged food stored at ambient temperature. The building has achieved LEED Gold certification and is equipped with round-the-clock security and surveillance systems, access control and fire protection. Its spaces can be configured to suit customers’ requirements and the operations involved. Transtir attributes the investment to growth in its customer base and the increasingly varied services they require. The company launched its logistics division in 2023 with projects across several industrial sectors, while joining Gruppo Sogedim in November 2025 enabled it to combine warehouse operations with a domestic and international transport and freight forwarding network. The group is headquartered in the province of Milan, employs more than 500 people, serves 10,000 customers and has over 250,000 square metres of warehouse space across central and northern Italy, with sites in Lombardy, Piedmont, Emilia and Tuscany.
