In early October 2025, Savino Del Bene finalised construction of its new logistics hub in Peschiera Borromeo, on the outskirts of Milan. The facility is set to become the group’s key site for operations across northern Italy. It comprises 12,000 square metres of warehouse space and 3,000 square metres of offices, along with a 400-square-metre customs area and 250 square metres of temperature-controlled cells (+4°C and +15°C) dedicated to food and beverage products.
Located just 15 kilometres from central Milan, one hour from Malpensa Airport and two hours from the port of Genoa, the hub enhances supply chain efficiency and enables widespread coverage of customers throughout central and northern Italy. It also features a 500 kW photovoltaic system to contribute to the building’s energy needs and stands on a redeveloped site formerly occupied by a disused industrial warehouse.
According to Stefano Marranci, managing director Italy at Savino Del Bene, the goal was to equip Milan with a modern, efficient and sustainable branch able to meet the needs of a constantly evolving market and to strengthen the group’s competitiveness. The new Milan facility also hosts the subsidiaries Albatrans, Aprile and General Noli, fostering operational synergies and global service integration.
Shortly before consolidating its presence in Italy, the group opened a new office in Cairo, located within the Cargo Village of the international airport. Inaugurated in August 2025, the site strengthens Savino Del Bene’s presence in Egypt, following the opening of its Alexandria branch a few months earlier. With a population exceeding 100 million and a rapidly expanding economy in the infrastructure and energy sectors, Egypt is a strategic hub for logistics operations between North Africa and the Middle East. The new office provides global customers with a direct point of contact for air and customs services, expanding local support capabilities and regional coverage.
