Presented on 26 June 2025, the new WJ 50 Series electric pallet truck features a tiller design and stands out for its lightness, power and manoeuvrability. These characteristics make it particularly well suited to the demanding requirements of urban logistics, truck deliveries and retail operations. Weighing less than 163 kg including the battery, it can handle loads of up to 1,500 kg. Its compact 370-millimetre chassis and tight 1,319-millimetre turning radius allow it to operate effectively in confined spaces such as van interiors, city pavements and narrow corridors in distribution centres. This ability to work in tight areas translates into faster operations and a significant reduction in loading and unloading inefficiencies.
The new pallet truck is powered by a 48-volt V-Force lithium-ion battery, with options ranging from 9.8 to 24.5 Ah capacity. Each battery can be charged either on board or using dedicated chargers, while an intelligent algorithm continuously updates the remaining run-time indicator on the display, helping operators better plan their work cycles.
From a construction perspective, Crown has opted to avoid plastic and instead uses steel covers to protect the most exposed components, thereby reducing maintenance needs. The enclosed structure, combined with a protective undercarriage, ensures safe operation even on uneven surfaces or where obstacles are present. The ergonomic tiller with intuitive controls allows for precise manoeuvres even in an upright position, including the option for one-handed operation. The WJ 50 Series also supports Work Assist accessories such as holders for scanners, documents or personal items.
