On 30 September 2025, Mercedes-Benz Trucks will unveil the extended eActros 600 line-up, which introduces new box-body chassis, low-frame chassis with different wheelbases, configurations with two battery packs, and L-cab versions inherited from the diesel Actros. The aim is to broaden operational flexibility while retaining the same technological architecture as the model that entered series production at the end of 2024.
This new portfolio is based on the second-generation eActros 600, designed with a modular approach and aimed at long-haul heavy-duty transport. According to Mercedes-Benz Trucks, all versions will share the same balance of energy efficiency and the in-house developed electric axle. The eActros 600 has already been in customer hands since December 2024 and is now in daily service across more than 15 European countries. It has been tested on a 15,000-kilometre journey across 22 nations during the “eActros 600 European Testing Tour 2024”, as well as on a further 6,500 kilometres in winter conditions in Northern Europe in 2025.
At the core of the truck are three battery packs, each with 207 kWh, delivering a total installed capacity of 621 kWh. The lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cell technology allows more than 95% of the installed capacity to be used, ensuring greater usable range and an estimated lifespan of 1.2 million kilometres over ten years, with the battery’s state of health remaining above 80%.
The manufacturer declares a range of up to 500 kilometres without intermediate charging, calculated with a gross vehicle weight of 40 tonnes. With charging breaks aligned to mandatory driver rest periods, the eActros 600 can exceed 1,000 kilometres per day. The truck is approved for a gross vehicle weight of up to 44 tonnes and, with a standard semi-trailer, can transport around 22 tonnes of payload within the European Union, subject to national regulations.
