At LogiMat 2026, Linde Material Handling unveiled its new Ri14–Ri18 reach truck range, expanding its offering in the standard warehouse applications segment. The new models cover load capacities from 1.4 to 1.8 tonnes and are aimed at distribution centres, retail operators and industrial sectors including food, automotive and chemicals. The design stands out for its structural compactness: an overall length of 1,215 mm and a turning radius of 2,709 mm make the vehicles well suited to handling narrow aisles, where manoeuvrability is a critical operational factor. Lift heights reach up to 11 metres, enabling optimal use of vertical storage space. Base performance can be enhanced through two optional functions: PowerDrive, which increases travel speed by up to 18%, and PowerLift, which raises lifting speed by up to 16%. The Linde Load Control system ensures precise, continuous load handling with millimetre accuracy, while the dual pedal control simplifies driving and reduces response times in day-to-day operations.
On the safety side, the new series comes as standard with an integrated braking system combined with hydraulic brakes on the load wheels, designed to ensure short stopping distances regardless of the load weight or mast position. The Linde Curve Assist system automatically intervenes when cornering, adjusting speed according to the steering angle to enhance stability and reduce the risk of tipping. The elevated driving position improves visibility of the surrounding environment, while optional features include a reinforced glass panoramic roof, shoulder protection and assistance systems such as Linde Safety Guard and Rack Protection Sensor, aimed at preventing collisions and damage to racking.
The ergonomics of the operator’s station have been developed to reduce fatigue during extended shifts. Full decoupling from the chassis absorbs shocks and vibrations, while the cushioned seat and adjustable steering wheel, seat and pedals allow the vehicle to be tailored to individual needs. Access to the driving position is facilitated by a wide, low step with a non-slip surface, a solution designed for operations involving frequent mounting and dismounting.
Operational continuity is ensured by the integrated 14.3 kWh lithium-ion battery, which can be replaced with a 21.4 kWh version for more intensive applications. For multi-shift operations, a swap battery option is also available, eliminating downtime associated with charging. The electronic architecture of the new models supports remote software updates via network, enabling the installation of new functions without direct intervention on the vehicle.
