Fassi’s heavy-duty articulated crane range has been expanded with the introduction of the F1750R.2.9 Hxp Techno, which made its world debut in Bern during the Transport.ch exhibition, presented together with Mobas SA, Fassi’s official distributor for Switzerland. Following the positive reception of the F1750R.2 HXP, Fassi has now introduced a nine-extension configuration that achieves a standard outreach of 21.60 metres, extending up to 33.30 metres with the L626 hydraulic jib, while maintaining the same overall dimensions as the previous eight-extension model. This result stems from detailed geometric analysis and the use of new structural components that optimise both space and load distribution.
The lifting capacity reaches 132 tonne-metres (1295 kNm), with compact dimensions of 2.58 metres in width, 2.54 metres in length and 2.61 metres in height. The crane can be paired with the L626 jib, suitable for use with a winch and semi-permanent pulleys, and can be fully folded even with the rope installed, improving setup times and ease of operation.
On the electronic and hydraulic side, the F1750R.2.9 Hxp Techno inherits all the advanced features of the range, starting with the integrated control system Imc and the FX990 unit, the digital core of the Techno system. This device coordinates movements with millimetre precision, integrates dynamic load control and manages stability across multiple working areas thanks to enhanced computing power and dual Ethernet connectivity. The package also includes the D900 digital hydraulic distributor, the V7S radio remote control, the Adc dynamic control system, the FX991 touchscreen display, the electronic flow sharing function and the XF hydraulic system.
Structurally, the new crane adopts the X-Design decagonal profile for the extension booms, a hallmark of the Techno range. This design improves force distribution between the slide and the beam, reduces structural weight and increases performance by up to 57% compared with traditional hexagonal profiles. It also allows for maintenance on the sliding pads without dismantling the booms, reducing both time and costs. The new F1750R.2.9 Hxp Techno also integrates the XP and ProLink systems, a double linkage and continuous slewing on the turntable, ensuring maximum operational flexibility and smooth, uninterrupted movement in any working context.
The Bergamo-based manufacturer is also participating in Ecomondo in Rimini under its new Group identity. “This year we are attending with the awareness of a fully consolidated group identity, with three brands moving in the same direction, sharing values, goals and a common idea of progress,” said Daniele Vismara, Fassi’s Sales Manager for Italy. The company explained that the solutions on display represent a broad, integrated vision of ecological transition: from material collection and handling to resource management and recycling, every product is designed to enhance process efficiency, minimise waste and support the evolution of cities, infrastructure and industrial activities towards more sustainable and intelligent models.
