The Viberti M642.60 extendable container semi-trailer is being exhibited at Green Logistics Expo in Padua by Pesce, a dealer based in Mogliano Veneto. Its adjustable chassis allows operators to carry different sizes of loading units on a single semi-trailer, making it suitable for haulage companies operating between ports, rail terminals, intermodal hubs and industrial plants. The telescopic system extends the chassis from 8,970 to 13,677 mm, allowing it to carry two 20-foot containers, including High Cube versions, as well as 30-foot containers and 40- and 45-foot units in ISO and High Cube configurations.
The chassis is built from high-strength S700 steel, combining structural strength with a low unladen weight of approximately 5,500 kg and a gross vehicle weight of 38 tonnes. It features crossmembers fitted with twist-locks to secure containers, while certain configurations can also accommodate refrigerated units. Available options include a liftable front axle and a steered third axle.
