In a period marked by frequent disruptions to road freight traffic, the timely management of information has become a key competitive advantage for transport companies, freight forwarders and logistics service providers. The growing complexity of geopolitical dynamics and regulatory decisions at the European level, such as the reinstatement of internal customs checks, demand swift and effective responses. It is in this context that Transporeon has introduced a digital tool designed to restore a sense of predictability to the sector.
Called the Live Border Status Map, the tool checks truck waiting times at major European border crossings every four hours. It is a flexible solution, based on real-time visibility data developed by Transporeon itself, that allows users to dynamically and intuitively visualise delays at customs points, making it easier to plan transport routes and manage resources. The map currently includes a delay index for Germany’s borders, which is updated weekly, and Transporeon is considering expanding its analysis to cover other European countries. The company will present this innovation at transport logistic 2025, taking place from 2 to 5 June 2025 in Munich.
