The Austrian ÖBB Rail Cargo Group launched three rail services for containers ranging between 20 and 45 feet and swap bodies between Veneto and Germany, as part of its European Transfer Network. The trains pass through the Brenner Pass and also aim to serve as an alternative to road crossings through Austria. The first service connects Verona to the Duss terminal in Göttingen, Lower Saxony, with four trips per week, and the train is also capable of carrying semi-trailers. The second connection links Padua with the Hannover-Leinetor terminal through four weekly trips, with the possibility of increasing to six. The third service connects Verona with Wuppertal, offering six trips per week, and this convoy can also load semi-trailers.
