Ceva Logistics has signed a new contract with Iveco Group to manage the future distribution centre in Pouso Alegre, in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Covering 20,000 square metres, the facility marks an important step in Ceva’s plan to expand its logistics operations in the country and strengthen its role in contract logistics.
Iveco Group’s total investment amounts to 93 million reais, equivalent to around 15.5 million euros, and aims to support the growth of the group’s brands in Latin America by improving speed and service capacity across its distribution and aftersales network. Construction began in June 2025, with operations set to start in April 2026. The new centre will replace the current facility in Sorocaba, São Paulo state, which is nearing capacity.
Ceva will be responsible for the complete management of the site, including handling and dispatching Iveco materials, as well as overseeing internal logistics. The centre will adopt a wireless warehouse management system with real-time tracking and monitoring to ensure greater efficiency and delivery accuracy. The facility has been designed for future expansion to support supply chain growth and create new jobs in the Minas Gerais region.
The agreement forms part of Ceva Logistics’ broader growth strategy in Brazil. The company expanded its warehouse capacity by more than 150,000 square metres over the past year, reaching a total of around 300,000 square metres nationwide. It has invested more than 100 million reais in new infrastructure, with an additional 120,000 square metres to be added by the end of 2025. The development plan aims to reach a total of 620,000 square metres of contract logistics space in Brazil by 2028.
According to Daniel Cortazzo, Automotive Director for Latin America at Ceva Logistics, the collaboration with Iveco confirms “the company’s commitment to operational excellence and innovation in Brazil”, strengthening Ceva’s strategic presence in the region. For Iveco Group, said Karel Novák, Head of Quality and Operations for Latin America, the new Pouso Alegre centre represents “a key base to enhance delivery speed and efficiency for customers, laying the foundations for future growth.”
