Ceva Logistics strengthens electric fleet with 23 trucks
Ceva logistics continues the decarbonisation of its operations with the acquisition of 23 new electric trucks for collection and distribution in France, Belgium and the Netherlands. With this addition, the company’s electric fleet now comprises 541 vehicles out of a total of more than 1,100 low-emission vehicles, preventing over 38,300 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually. To support the expansion of electric mobility, Ceva has installed 85 new charging stations at eight European sites, bringing its global total to 1,035 charging points. This investment aligns with the company’s strategy to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
Mercedes-Benz delivers 14 Actros L trucks to Tevex logistics
At the end of January, at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Wörth, Tevex logistics received 14 Actros L trucks equipped with ProCabin cabins. The German company, specialised in refrigerated transport, has thus begun the renewal of its fleet, which includes the delivery of 150 vehicles within the year and an option for an additional 50. Tevex continues its collaboration with Mercedes-Benz Trucks in the testing of electric models.
Circle signs agreement with Progress Transport Globus
Circle has signed an agreement with Progress Transport Globus for the supply of MasterSped, the software platform developed by the Circle group for customs operators and freight forwarders. The customs agency based in Casnate con Bernate, which operates in import/export flows between Italy and Switzerland, will implement the system to enhance its logistics and customs processes. MasterSped will improve data accuracy, reduce processing times and optimise financial management while ensuring compliance with regulations. Additionally, the Swiss headquarters, Globus Trasporti Internazionali, will be able to extend customs process management to Switzerland, increasing efficiency and operational flexibility.
Bcp finances €18 million for transport innovation and sustainability
The Banca di Credito Popolare, with the support of Sace, has provided two loans totalling approximately €18 million in favour of Manisa Bulk and Automar logistics. Manisa Bulk has received funding for the acquisition of the 120-metre cargo vessel Manisa Amelia, designated for routes in the Mediterranean, Baltic and West Africa. Automar logistics has secured financial backing for the purchase of 25 car transporters, strengthening its fleet for vehicle transport.
Trains back in operation on the Laluque-Tartas line
After nearly five years of inactivity, the freight railway line between Laluque and Tartas in southwestern France has resumed operations. The 12.5-kilometre section had been closed since March 2019 following a freight train derailment that caused significant damage.
