On 18 February 2026, the Hupac Group announced the appointment of Britta Weber as Chief Executive Officer. Currently Vice President of UPS Healthcare for Europe and Asia, she will take up her new role on 1 July 2026, succeeding Michail Stahlhut, whose resignation had already been announced. During the transition phase, operational management will be overseen by deputy CEOs Benedetta Masciari and Alessandro Valenti, together with Bernhard Kunz, delegate of the Board of Directors.
With this appointment, the Board of Directors is launching the group’s next phase of development, focusing on the strategic evolution of combined transport, the expansion of sustainable logistics solutions and the strengthening of Hupac’s position in European continental intermodal transport. Weber will be the fourth CEO in the company’s nearly 60-year history.
"I am very pleased to welcome Britta Weber to her new role. She brings more than 20 years of international experience in the logistics sector: she combines a clear strategic vision with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of our customers’ needs," said Hans-Jörg Bertschi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hupac. "It is a great honour for me to join the Hupac Group. Hupac is much more than a successful company; it pursues a clear social mission: sustainable logistics and the systematic shift of freight to rail. I am particularly pleased to be able to work with the strong management team, which I greatly respect for the results achieved. With great motivation and enthusiasm, together we will successfully shape the next phase of the Group’s development," Weber added.
A 42-year-old German national, Britta Weber takes the helm at Hupac after more than two decades of international experience in logistics, supply chain management and organisational development. Before joining the intermodal group, she served as Vice President of UPS Healthcare for Europe and Asia. She spent around 13 years at UPS, progressing through a series of senior management roles to her most recent vice-presidential position.
Weber graduated in law from the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn (University of Bonn) and passed the second state law examination with honours in 2011. Over the course of her career, she has lived and worked in Hupac’s key markets, particularly in the main road-rail combined transport corridors across continental Europe. Her expertise includes logistics and combined transport, supply chain management and the leadership of international teams, underpinned by a strategic approach and a strong understanding of the needs of industrial and transport customers.
