The Italian logistics company BCube has completed the transfer of its freight forwarding business unit. In September 2025, Fischer & Rechsteiner Company and Gimax International announced they had signed a binding agreement to acquire and manage the group’s international forwarding operations previously handled by the Piedmont-based company. The deal forms part of BCube’s strategic reorganisation aimed at enhancing individual business lines and fostering the growth of specialised operators.
Under the new structure, Fischer & Rechsteiner will take charge of project cargo and shipments to all global destinations, while Gimax International will focus on traffic to and from Latin America. Both companies have assumed full operational responsibility, ensuring continuity in customer and overseas agent relations by retaining the existing workforce.
Fischer & Rechsteiner, which has been active in international sea and air freight since 1953 with particular expertise in Latin America, Australasia and the Mediterranean–Middle East, will open a new branch in Genoa as part of the acquisition. In 2024, the company generated a turnover of €29.9 million, up from €27.3 million in 2023.
The new Gimax International has been relaunched by Piero Lazzeri, formerly managing director of BCube’s freight forwarding division and previously a key shareholder in the historic Gimax, which later became part of BCube. The company will operate as a preferred partner of the Piedmont group through an industrial and commercial collaboration built on shared growth and continuity objectives. Its focus will be primarily on Latin America, a market in which the new firm aims to strengthen and expand its commercial ties.
