At the beginning of 2025, the logistics and transport company Rhenus signed an agreement with Garbe Industrial Real Estate Italy to increase its storage space by 10,000 square metres at the Giovi Logistics Park in Silvano Pietra, Pavia. With this agreement, Rhenus doubles its presence at the facility to 20,000 square metres. The platform is strategically positioned along the A7 Milan-Genoa motorway, ensuring swift connections to both Ligurian ports and Malpensa Airport.
For Rhenus, strengthening its presence at the Giovi Logistics Park is a key element in its strategy to expand and enhance its logistics network in Italy. Guglielmo Davide Tassone, Regional Manager for South East Europe of the Rhenus Road Freight Business Unit, highlighted the strategic importance of the facility’s location: "This expansion reinforces our role as a logistics hub for national and international road transport, providing privileged access to major road arteries. The proximity to the Ligurian ports and Malpensa allows us to optimise the flow of goods, improving supply chain efficiency and boosting our customers’ competitiveness."
The Giovi Logistics Park was developed by Garbe in collaboration with investor Sfo Capital Partners and is managed by Prelios Sgr through the Giove Fund. The infrastructure spans a total area of 83,000 square metres and comprises eight independent units, each measuring approximately 10,000 square metres. The facility has achieved Leed Platinum certification, thanks to the implementation of advanced construction solutions and the use of eco-sustainable materials. The logistics park is equipped with office spaces, service areas, and dedicated charging stations for forklifts, along with three hundred parking spaces for cars and twenty-four for articulated lorries.
