New logistics hub in Tuscany
Logicor and Kryalos have announced the acquisition of a plot of land of more than 72,000 square metres in Serravalle Pistoiese, in the province of Pistoia, for the development of a new logistics hub in Tuscany. The site was acquired through the closed-end real estate fund Mazer, backed by Logicor and managed by Kryalos sgr, and is located close to the A11 Florence–Pisa motorway and the interchange connecting to the A1, around 20 kilometres from Florence. The project involves the construction of a logistics warehouse with 28,000 square metres of lettable area, including around 1,100 square metres of offices, with a flexible layout allowing subdivision into two units. Construction is scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2026, with completion expected by the second quarter of 2027. The facility will feature 28 loading bays, 50 truck parking spaces and 100 car parking spaces with electric charging points, and will be certified BREEAM Excellent. The new development strengthens Logicor’s presence in Tuscany following the completion last September of a 23,000 square metre logistics hub in Quarrata, also in the province of Pistoia.
Alliance on European mobility mapping
Geopost Vision has announced a collaboration with Nextbase to accelerate the development of a new generation of road imagery and intelligent mobility solutions in Europe, with a joint presence at CES 2026 in Las Vegas. The agreement the adoption of Nextbase iQ connected hardware across the European parcel delivery fleet of several Geopost brands, including DPD, Seur, BRT and Chronopost, to enable passive, high-frequency collection of street-level images. Cameras installed on vehicles turn daily delivery routes into a continuous source of operational data supporting mapping, road safety and mobility planning. Geopost Vision is responsible for processing and anonymising the collected data, making operational information available via APIs for applications in the automotive, infrastructure and smart city sectors. The collaboration is already active in 10 European countries, including France, Spain, Italy and Germany, and is set to expand to 20 countries by 2026. The aim is to create one of the most comprehensive and up-to-date sources of street imagery at European level.
Rina acquires Gloval
Rina Prime Value Services, the Rina Group company specialising in services for the real estate sector, has announced the signing of binding agreements for the acquisition of 100% of Gloval, an operator active in property valuation, technical consultancy and advanced big data and artificial intelligence solutions applied to real estate. Prologis expands in Milan
Prologis is strengthening its presence in the Milan metropolitan area with three acquisitions between Carpiano and Vimodrone. The transaction includes the purchase of a 31,194 square metre logistics-designated site in Carpiano and two fully leased cross-dock facilities, Carpiano DC2 and Vimodrone DC1, located in corridors characterised by historically low availability and demand exceeding supply. The assets benefit from direct connections to major road infrastructure, including the A1, SP40 and A51, ensuring efficient access to central Milan and the wider distribution system of northern Italy. Vimodrone DC1 offers 8,350 square metres of cross-dock space near the Eastern Ring Road, playing a functional role in urban distribution and last-mile delivery activities. Carpiano DC2 provides around 14,000 square metres of cross-dock space close to the A1 motorway, serving southern Milan and the Lodi area in a sub-market with limited supply. The acquisition of the land in Carpiano is strategically significant as it represents one of the last available sites along the SP40 corridor, in a context where new logistics developments are structurally constrained. Overall, the transactions allow Prologis to consolidate two complementary logistics hubs, strengthening operational capacity in the country’s most economically dynamic region. “Available space is limited and demand remains strong,” said Sandro Innocenti, Senior Vice President and Regional Head Southern Europe at Prologis.
Dachser grows in Freiburg
Dachser is establishing a new foothold for food logistics in south-west Germany by expanding its logistics centre in Freiburg, located in the Breisgau industrial park. Construction work on the new refrigerated transit terminal, operating at temperatures between 2 and 7 degrees Celsius, began in August 2025, with operations due to start in June 2026. The total investment amounts to €12 million and supports the introduction of the Dachser Food Logistics service at the site, alongside an increase in space dedicated to industrial goods and consumer products. Structurally connected to the existing terminal, the extension includes a new 3,200 square metre refrigerated area with 32 loading bays, as well as an additional 2,700 square metres for industrial goods with eight bays. The Freiburg site, which currently employs 190 people including 30 apprentices, is expected to create 40 new jobs. The project also includes a photovoltaic system of around 500 kWp, bringing the site’s total capacity to nearly 1 MWp, the installation of 20 new charging points for electric trucks and parking for 125 heavy goods vehicles with dedicated services.
