On 11 February 2025, the Port System Authority of the Central-Northern Adriatic Sea published a tender for the sale of the entire ownership of its subsidiary T&C Traghetti e Crociere, which operates the corresponding terminal in the port of Ravenna. The starting price for the auction is set at 25 million euros, and the bidding process is scheduled for 19 March 2025. Among the interested parties is the Grimaldi Group, through its subsidiary Euromed, which currently leases the yard area behind the quay. Grimaldi holds the concession for this quay, using it for its roll-on/roll-off service to and from the port of Brindisi.
The port of Ravenna ended 2024 with a slight decline of 1.2% in rolling cargo traffic, handling 95,410 units. Container traffic also decreased, with the Romagna port processing 199,778 teu, marking a 7.9% drop compared to the previous year. Overall cargo handling totalled 25,503,131 tonnes, recording a modest increase of 0.16%.
