Two Lombardy-based companies operating in pharmaceutical logistics are joining forces to strengthen their national and international presence. In May 2025, Phse, headquartered in Lodi, announced the full acquisition of Sat Cargo, based in Lainate near Milan. Sat Cargo specialises in the international transport of pharmaceutical, veterinary and nutraceutical products under temperature-controlled conditions. The acquired company operates a 5,000-square-metre temperature-controlled warehouse and handles storage and rapid distribution activities, serving an international network via air and sea.
As part of the transaction, Sat Cargo brings with it specific expertise in the international transport of sensitive goods, managed in compliance with stringent thermal control standards. Phse enhances this expertise by leveraging its global logistics network and infrastructure developed over the years. Thanks to this acquisition, the Lombard Group expects to achieve a consolidated turnover of between 120 and 130 million euros by the end of 2025.
Founded in Lodi in 1999, Phse initially specialised in the logistics management of clinical trials before expanding into the transport of medicines, biotech products, biological samples and radiopharmaceuticals, using a robust and continuous cold chain with temperature ranges from -180° to +25°C. Today, the company also has its own branches in the United States, the United Kingdom, India, Singapore, Brazil, Spain and Germany, as well as a network of agents in other countries around the world. In recent years, the company has accelerated its growth through strategic acquisitions in several countries, including the United Kingdom (Tek Freight), India (Rapida Time & Temperature), Brazil (Bio Transportes) and Germany (Moving Forward International).
