The Bergamo-based logistics company Bracchi will open a 44,000 square meter logistics hub dedicated to Fashion and Lifestyle on June 5, 2024, in Lonigo, Vicenza. The facility features 46 loading bays with double fronts and fourteen industrial vehicle stalls for trucks, as well as around a hundred parking spaces. Worker and office areas cover approximately 436 square meters spread across the ground and first floors. The project aims to achieve LEED Gold certification.
Bracchi already operates five hubs dedicated to Fashion and Lifestyle, including those in Tombolo and Oppeano, which specialize in the Fashion sector, and in Castrezzato and Bassano del Grappa, where fashion represents a significant part of the business. CEO Umberto Ferretti states, "With this new investment, through our decarbonization plan, we are strengthening our commitment to the multinational companies in the Fashion and Lifestyle industries."
The new Lonigo site represents a significant expansion for Bracchi, which closed the 2023 fiscal year with over 200 million euros in revenue. Besides showcasing the new facility, the inauguration event will also serve as an opportunity to announce Bracchi's decarbonization plans. A roundtable discussion will address ESG policies in the logistics sector, featuring speakers such as Paolo Scaroni and Professor Fabrizio Dallari from Liuc Università Cattaneo.
Umberto Ferretti explains that "the outsourcing logistics model Bracchi offers ensures independence and provides a tailored service. We can follow the Fashion season from the initial stages of ironing and reconditioning to delivery to retail across Europe. The demand for delivering hanging garments directly to stores without packaging is growing, especially abroad. Additionally, we efficiently manage the last mile, reaching even high-altitude boutiques."
Acquired in December 2023 by the Argos Climate Action fund, which appointed Paolo Scaroni as Chairman of the Board, Bracchi has decided to specialize in Northeastern activities related to cosmetics and Prosecco distribution. This year, the company has invested in new transport vehicles, shelving to improve workflow, and warehouse management software, with a total investment of two million euros as part of a three-year plan exceeding five million euros.
