At the beginning of September 2025, Yale Lift Truck Technologies revealed that its Yale Vision telemetry system will be fitted as standard on several warehouse truck models, including order pickers, reach trucks and very narrow aisle machines. The package also covers both electric and internal combustion counterbalance trucks, extending the scope of the offer. As part of the basic configuration, users will receive two years of wireless communication at no extra cost, with the ability to track usage, impacts, location and fault diagnostic codes.
According to the company, the availability of built-in telemetry makes it possible to plan preventive maintenance more effectively and to optimise fleet management. The collected data can be linked to individual operators, enabling workflow analysis and productivity gains. The system also delivers real-time impact notifications, alerting managers to the need for corrective action such as additional training or operational changes.
The dashboards and analytical tools associated with Yale Vision provide access to information from any internet-connected device, offering insights into usage, charging and maintenance. This gives businesses a full and immediate overview of fleet conditions, with the potential to cut downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
In addition to the standard package, two further system levels are available. The Wireless Access option introduces operator identification via electronic key, linking data to individuals and allowing lock-out following impacts or automatic shutdown during idle periods. The Wireless Verification feature, on the other hand, is geared towards regulatory compliance and requires the completion of digital safety checklists, such as pre-shift inspections mandated by local regulations, before the truck can be operated.
