Council of the EU moves towards agreement on truck weights
20 Novembre 2025 - The ambassadors of the EU Member States have approved the compromise text on the revision of the Directive on heavy vehicle weights and dimensions. The Transport Council of 4–5 December 2025 will need to adopt the general approach to open trilogue negotiations with the Parliament.

The Italian police steps up checks on AdBlue and DPF systems in diesel engines
19 Novembre 2025 - The Italian Traffic Police is stepping up checks on tampering with diesel particulate and NOx-reduction systems such as DPF and AdBlue. Officers are using dedicated equipment capable of detecting alterations within minutes. A pilot project is under way in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
