Ceccarelli Group has launched a 4,000-square-metre logistics hub at the Padua freight village. The company, headquartered in Udine with operational offices in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto and Milan, inaugurated the new facility on 18 September 2025. The site enhances its integrated service offering in the customs and fiscal sectors. Covering an area of about 4,000 square metres, the hub is divided into two dedicated sections, one for customs and the other for excise, with a total storage capacity of 2,000 pallet spaces.
The new facility is designed to support international supply chains with customs clearance, fiscal representation and excise management. Its location at Padua’s freight village makes it possible to handle cargo flows from Italy’s main ports without depending on a single terminal, thus ensuring greater flexibility in freight operations. One of its key applications will be provisioning cruise ships at Adriatic and Tyrrhenian ports, where foodstuffs and consumer goods are stored and subsequently shipped according to the requirements of shipowners.
The investment follows the acquisition of Udine-based Gipieffe Spedizioni and confirms the group’s strategy of offering end-to-end solutions. “With this new hub we are now able to complete the logistics chain, providing services ranging from customs assistance and warehousing to transport to any destination,” explained chairman Luca Ceccarelli.
According to the group, the unstable geopolitical landscape and rising trade tensions have prompted it to develop infrastructure capable of anticipating market shifts and opening new trade routes. The company has also integrated its physical operations with a web-based Warehouse Management System, allowing customers to monitor inventory in real time and manage logistics activities remotely. With the new Padua hub, Ceccarelli Group further strengthens its foothold in the Triveneto region, already a strategic area for international goods flows.
