New indefinite suspension of the Fréjus railway
2 Luglio 2025 - Severe weather at the end of June 2025 has led to the suspension of the Fréjus railway line on the French side. Train services will remain halted at least throughout the first week of July. Road traffic through the tunnel is also restricted due to ongoing maintenance.

In 2026, intermodal train service between Dunkirk and Italy
27 Giugno 2025 - Multimodal company Delta Rail, a subsidiary of Modalis, will manage the new intermodal terminal at the port of Dunkirk, from which a rail link to northern Italy is set to be launched in 2026. 19 Giugno 2025 - After the successful completion of more than 280 tests with various types of trains, the new Austrian Koralmbahn railway is expected to become fully operational for all rail traffic with the timetable change on 14 december 2025, although freight services will begin running as early as october.

Step forward for the Brenner railway
19 Giugno 2025 - The tunnel boring machine at the Prader construction site, working on the access railway to the Brenner Base Tunnel on the Italian side, will begin excavation on 20 June 2025. It is part of the access variant from Fortezza to Ponte Gardena.
