On 16 April 2025, Uta introduced Edenred Drive, a unified digital platform designed to make refuelling and road services safer, simpler and faster. Edenred Drive is a free smartphone application available for iOS and Android in nine languages, bringing together in a single interface functions that were previously spread across separate apps. It offers a centralised and intuitive system for managing fuel payments, locating service stations and securing fuel cards.
Specifically, Uta Edenred Drive combines the features of Uta EasyFuel, Uta Edenred’s digital fuel card, and Uta Stationsfinder, the tool that provides real-time access to partner stations, fuel prices, available services and types of fuel offered. This enables users, whether drivers or fleet managers, to save time and better plan their stops by relying on detailed and up-to-date information directly from their mobile device.
In terms of security, the app uses a two-factor authentication system that includes both a PIN and biometric recognition. It also allows users to reset their fuel card PIN if it is lost, a key feature to avoid service disruptions while on the road. Among the app’s most important functions is Uta EasyFuel, which enables direct payment at the pump via smartphone. This means drivers can skip the queue at the till and significantly reduce the risk of sensitive data theft associated with physical cards. Uta EasyFuel is currently operational at more than 4,000 service stations across eight European countries.
To further enhance protection, the app includes Uta CardLock, a function that allows users to temporarily block their fuel card. It can be activated for a sixty-minute window, which is useful for carrying out a specific transaction, after which the safety mode reactivates automatically. This feature can be managed either by the driver or the fleet manager through the Uta Service Center portal.
A notable feature of Uta Edenred Drive is that it can also be used by non-registered users. While full functionality is available when linked to a Uta fuel card, the app remains useful even without registration. For instance, the station search tool helps users quickly find the nearest refuelling point along their route, displaying detailed information on available fuels, prices, opening hours and special services such as truck parking or vehicle washing, all within Uta’s extensive European partner network.
The company has announced that the application will continue to evolve over the coming months. Features currently in development include expanded navigation and filtering options, the launch of a 24-hour roadside assistance hotline, and integration with Uta eCharge, which will help locate electric vehicle charging stations.
