With the debut of the F705R.2-Hxp-Techno, Fassi expands its Techno range and once again confirms its commitment to innovation in the lifting sector. Presented as a world premiere at the Bauma exhibition in Munich, this new articulated crane is designed as a high-performance solution for transport and handling professionals, combining vertical power, operational versatility and intelligent control in one compact and efficient machine.
The F705R.2-Hxp-Techno follows in the wake of the F2350RL-Hxp, F1050R.2-Hxp, F905R-Hxp and F805R.2-Hxp models, and is ideally positioned among solutions drawing on the technical expertise developed with the F600RA/F660RA and F710RA models. Building on this legacy, it raises the bar in terms of performance while maintaining Fassi’s design philosophy: turning the daily needs of operators into practical, value-adding solutions. In this approach, technology is not an end in itself, but a means to improve working conditions and safety.
At the heart of this evolution lies the adoption of the X-Design decagonal profile for the secondary boom and extension arms. This design feature, combined with ultra-high strength steel (UHSS), significantly enhances lifting capacity in vertical configurations. A larger supporting surface ensures superior structural rigidity, improving stability even when a jib is mounted, and allows the crane to operate safely with heavier loads. The new L224 hydraulic extension further boosts the crane’s operational versatility, particularly when used with nine hydraulic extensions.
The technological dimension reaches its peak with the integrated management system. The F705R.2-Hxp-Techno is controlled by the FX990 unit, the core of the Techno system, which can be paired with the FX991 colour touchscreen display and the Scanreco V7S remote control. This setup ensures smooth and intuitive interaction with the machine, even in complex working environments, offering the operator precision and safety. New software solutions introduced in this model enable dynamic load optimisation according to the crane's configuration, guiding the operator toward the most efficient choices while reducing the risk of error and downtime.
The crane also features a range of design elements intended to enhance user-friendliness and safety. Standard permanent pulleys for the V20 and V28 winches on the hydraulic extensions make operations faster and more efficient. The newly redesigned protective casings, from the base to the secondary boom, not only provide greater protection for internal components but also feature a more refined and modern design. The F705R.2-Hxp-Techno also incorporates the advanced hydraulic extension control software already appreciated on higher-end models like the F1250R-Hxp Techno, offering more precise management during extension and retraction phases.
Versatility remains one of the hallmark features of this new model. Available in configurations with up to nine hydraulic extensions and various extension combinations, the crane reaches a maximum lifting capacity of 3000 kg, with a vertical lifting capacity of 800 kg already at the fourth extension. Its compact size and high performance make it ideal for a wide range of applications, confirming Fassi’s commitment to developing solutions that place innovation at the service of everyday work.
Key technical specifications include a maximum lifting moment of 66.3 tm and a hydraulic outreach that can extend to 32.25 metres with the extension. The overall footprint on the truck bed is limited to 2.55 metres in width, 1.54 metres in length and 2.49 metres in height. From an electronic and hydraulic standpoint, the crane is equipped with the IMC integrated control system, FX990 unit, D900 digital distributor, V7 RRC remote control and the optional FX991 display. The entire system is managed by the XF proportional system and supported by a dynamic maintenance assistant.
