On 5 December 2024, Circle announced the creation of eXyond. The new company emerges from the transformation of Log@Sea, a business network founded in 2014 and owned 51% by Circle and 49% by Aitek. With an increase in share capital to €500,000, funded 92% by Circle and 8% by Aitek, eXyond acquires the resources to pursue what is described as ambitious growth and an innovative vision.
Alongside the creation of eXyond, Circle has completed the acquisition of a 54.54% stake in Circle Garage, an SME based in Genoa specialising in the development of data observability solutions, software creation, and cloud infrastructure. The acquisition, valued at €136,350, forms part of a strategy to consolidate digital and technological capabilities, enriching the portfolio of innovative solutions offered by eXyond.
eXyond Srl integrates expertise in land, air, rail, and maritime transport, providing solutions for companies in the transport sector, intermodal terminals, and multimodal operators. Among the technologies used by eXyond are Optical Character Recognition, blockchain, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things. The adoption of electronic seals (e-Seals) and Bluetooth/NFC technologies ensures system traceability and interoperability, contributing significantly to the first international digital customs corridor. The solutions offered integrate seamlessly with the operational systems used by terminal operators, port operators, intermodal transport operators, and hauliers, creating an interoperable system that covers the entire door-to-door supply chain.
Luca Abatello, CEO of Circle Group, stated: “The launch of eXyond represents an important step forward for our ecosystem, consolidating years of collaboration with Aitek and the expertise of Circle Garage. This new entity allows us to further develop predictive and integrated solutions for intermodal logistics, reinforcing our position in the Connect 4 Agile Growth journey.” Aitek’s CEO, Fabrizio Ferrari, also highlighted the significance of the project: “eXyond represents another step forward in the technological innovation of logistics systems. Thanks to Circle, we have found fertile ground to grow Circle Garage’s expertise and aim for increasingly interconnected systems, essential for the future of intermodal logistics.”
