On 22 January 2025, the European Commission announced its approval of the joint venture between DP World Logistics Europe—a logistics company based in the Netherlands and owned by Dubai’s DP World—and the Italian logistics company Arcese Trasporti. The new company will focus on logistics services for the automotive industry, integrating multiple transport modes. Its operations will initially target France and Poland, with plans to expand into other countries within the European Economic Area.
DP World Logistics Europe operates a network of 14 inland terminals across Belgium, France, Germany, Serbia, Switzerland, and Romania, which are connected to major European ports. The company provides a broad range of services, including intermodal transport (also via inland waterways), third-party logistics, last-mile distribution, and hazardous goods storage. Arcese, for its part, entered into a strategic partnership with Cargo Trans Logistik in March 2024 to expand its groupage network across Europe.
