On 5 February 2025, the Italian company Tradelog and the Swiss Coder International revealed the launch of a strategic collaboration, focusing primarily on the transport of liquid goods and silo shipments. In a statement, the companies explained that the agreement stems from a desire to provide clients with integrated and cutting-edge logistics solutions. The adoption of advanced multimodal solutions will enable clients to reduce delivery times and operational costs, while simultaneously improving resource management. Furthermore, the partnership will allow for an expansion of the range of logistics services, tailored to the specific needs of clients. Concurrently, Tradelog and Coder International will work to introduce more sustainable practices and efficient processes, thereby contributing to a reduction in the environmental impact of logistics activities.
Coder International is based in Chiasso, Switzerland, where it was founded by Carlo Pedrini in 1969, the current general manager, to carry out transport across Europe, specialising in chemical liquids and bulk minerals, before expanding into the transport of plastic materials. The Piedmontese company Tradelog is a family business of the De Caria family, established in 1975 by Giuseppe De Caria to supply his own mill with wheat. Three years later, it began transporting bulk goods for Enichem using silo vehicles, and in 1990 commenced international transport. In 2009, Tradelog entered the intermodal sector for transport with France, subsequently expanding into Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands.
