The German trailer manufacturer Krone is enhancing its spare parts distribution in Italy through an alliance with its Italian importer, Realtrailer. The two companies have formed a new entity named Krone Trailer Service Italia to increase the availability of spare parts, based on a logistics platform in Mantua. The company is set to commence operations in the fourth quarter of 2024. This facility will also serve other European countries.
The spare parts warehouse in Mantua covers an area of two thousand square meters and will reduce delivery times to within 24 hours of order placement or overnight. This will also strengthen the "Krone Trusted" brand. The architecture and operations of the Mantua logistics center will mirror those of the Krone spare parts warehouse in Herzlake, Germany.
"Our goal is to further improve the range of spare parts for our customers and significantly increase the rapid availability of parts in Italy and neighboring countries," explains Ralf Faust, Krone's Service Director. Julian Dango, Krone's Director for Southeast Europe, adds, "With the joint creation of the new company, Krone and Realtrailer aim to combine forces, merging Realtrailer’s market experience and employee expertise with Krone's processes and warehouse management. On this basis, we will progressively expand our existing network and be able to offer our customers new and expanded services."
